HELPING FARMERS NATIONWIDE

Welcome to The National Latino Farmers and Ranchers (NLFR), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering Latino farmers and ranchers across the county. We provide advocacy and education on farm management, sustainability training, and conservation best practices that enable underserved Latinos and multiethnic farmers, farmworkers, and ranchers to thrive in the 21st century-era of farming. Join us in fostering sustainable agriculture and strengthening food security, both locally and globally.

OUR HISTORY

On a hot summer day in 2005, more than 400 Hispanics, Latinos, African Americans, Asians, and other minority farmers and ranchers gathered in Las Cruces, New Mexico to write a new chapter in American Agriculture. Initially known as the National Latino Farmers and Ranchers Trade Association, NLFR is now a national nonprofit that that advocates on behalf of Latino and underserved farmers across the country, connecting them with government resources and essential conservation and sustainability practices.
